Acevedo: My friend Hugh Gannon gave me permission to use this photograph he'd taken of Liz Hurley, sometime in 1995, NYC. It is another installment from what I call my famous people series. I suppose under the influence of Warhol, I wanted to explore the intersection of fame and the notion of non-hierarchal timelessness. That is, the content we project on images of well-known people co-mingled with a graphical metaphor that I consider as neutral, non-allegorical and non-narrative.
