Acevedo: This image was named after the show title I came up with for the second Cynthia Show which took place on 1 December 1999 at the club called Baktun in NYC. I always liked the word Epic and words like it, like epiphany, and the NY based 'Episonic' was a band featuring Tara Mooney, that I named as well. An earlier version of this, a double portrait of the show's star, Cynthia DeMoss was used for the show invite and was later published in Time Out New York (No. 227 Jan 27-Feb 3 2000 on page 70).

A medium size print of Millennium Epicenter was exhibited in a group show at the SomArts Gallery in San Francisco from September 4th through 22nd, 2001. This was in celebration of the 20-year anniversary of the organization called YLEM - Artists using Science and Technology. The following year the image was published in the YLEM Journal Number 2 Volume 22 January/February 2002. Also two large prints of this image were produced - one was sold to a couple from the UK through POD gallery and the other somehow ended up in the collection of Spectra Digital NYC where Acevedo worked part-time in the 2000.
