Orense is a portrait of my brother Eric adapted from a photograph taken
in Northern Spain in 1983. I've since been reminded that it's actually
in Ribideo, but I like the sound of Orense, so the title endures. Consistent
with my ongoing exploration of the use of the isotropic vector matrix
(IVM) to metaphor the underlying void, this image illustrates the interconnectedness
of figure-ground and the resultant perturbations in the otherwise isotropic
field.
